This is a wonderful local non-profit that supports our highest-risk youth of Orange County. Their juvenile delinquency prevention programs help these young people to make a positive contribution in our community.
Giving Tuesday, Every Day
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is officially known as “Giving Tuesday,” a national day of giving that celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations. “Giving Every Day” is an even better idea.

Candy for a Cause
Halloween is here, and you can donate all your extra candy to send to our dedicated troops overseas this year. Children under twelve can even earn some money from their own candy contribution!
Carolina For The Kids Foundation
Tonight is the 17th Annual UNC Dance Marathon, hosted by the Carolina for the Kids Foundation who has raised more than $3.3 million for N.C. Children’s Hospital.
Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands
On March 8, 2013, the Compass Center for Women and Families will be hosting their annual art exhibition and sale from 7-10 pm at Top of the Hill. Don’t miss it!
Book Harvest
This wonderful local non-profit collects amd distributes books to low-income children throughout the Triangle area. Since its founding in January 2011, Book Harvest has placed over 70,000 books into the hands of our children who need them the most.
Spring for Charity
Come out and dine at The Grille at Four Corners restaurant on 175 East Franklin Street from May 14-18, 2012 and enjoy a delicious meal while helping contribute to a local charity.
Rock ‘N Role-Models
Last Saturday night I attended the Rock ‘N Role-Models Volunteers for Youth Benefit at West End Public in Downtown Chapel Hill. It was the perfect way to support this wonderful cause!
